Facebook improperly takes down posts for planned protest rallies in Trenton, yet openly promotes other large gatherings which it agrees with.

Several websites have reported this practice by Facebook, who claims its motive in taking down those posts was not to suppress people`s constitutional rights; but rather, to prevent the "criminal activity" of large gatherings. (e.g. See https://www.politico.com/news/2020/04/20/facebook-shuts-down-anti-quarantine-protests-at-states-request-196143). Facebook claimed the reason was only to prevent "criminal" activity of a large gathering of people. Yet, Facebook did not do the same for another large gathering of people, when the purpose of the large gathering was for something it believed was non-controversial - that is, a parade to honor the health care workers, In fact, it was published on the front page of our local weekly newspaper:

So rhetorically speaking, if the basis for Facebook`s actions was strictly due to its health-related concerns about large gatherings, then why did it not take down the post for this parade??? Does Facebook contend that the virus discriminates who it will infect based upon the purpose of the gathering and/or the person`s political points of view???

Thus the only logical conclusion is that Facebook intentionally violated the public`s First Amendment rights. I think people should continue to protest, and I think social media sites like Facebook should face a class action suit for violating our right to free speech and to protest this grave injustice and tyranny by our state governors.
